James T Reese PhD.

Dr. James T. Reese Ph.D. is an internationally known author, lecturer, and consultant in the specialty of stress management, workplace violence, personality profiling, leadership, motivation, and related topics and is listed in the National Registry of Experts and The Yearbook of Authorities, Experts, and Spokespersons. He has published 7 books while with the FBI, and video and audio programs.

The president of James T. Reese and Associates, with offices in Virginia, USA and Europe, he is an international Expert in Traumatic Stress and has Board Certification in School Crisis response. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress (A.A.E.T.S.), and a member of the Board of Scientific and Professional Advisors of the A.A.E.T.S. He is a faculty member of the National Executive Institute, the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, the Institute for the Advanced Study of Crisis and Disaster Management, the International Center for the Study of Criminal Science, Paris, France, to name just a few.

Dr. Reese has devoted his professional life to the prevention of violence, coping with change and adversity, and stress management. Dr. Reese has addressed representatives of more than 300 Fortune 500 companies, the National Football League and countless law enforcement associations around the globe. He has provided expert testimony on stress to world leaders including the United States Congress and President George Bush's Council on Integrity and Efficiency. Dr. Reese consults with faculty members of Johns Hopkins University, The Harvard Associates in Criminal Justice, The University of Virginia and others.

Dr. Reese served as a platoon leader in Vietnam. After 25 years as an FBI Agent, he retired as the Assistant Unit Chief of the FBI Behavioral Science Unit, as depicted in the movie Silence of the Lambs, establishing their stress management program. He was adjunct faculty with the University of Virginia for 18 years. Dr. Reese is a founder of the National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime and an original FBI Mind Hunter providing and training criminal personality profiling. Dr. Reese helped to establish the psychological services program of the FBI, its Employee Assistance Program and its Chaplains' Assistance Program.
